The gamer was at BetMGM Casino in Ontario, playing MGM Grand Millions, a slot game exclusive to BetMGM Casino venues in Ontario. Featuring a 5-reel setup, the slot showcases golden lion sculptures, casino tokens, bundles of cash, and gold ingots, offering 243 potential winning combinations in the base game and increasing to 1,024 winning ways in free spins mode. 

The player secured CA$1.6 million on April 21 with a $20 wager. The same player subsequently won a jackpot of CA$4417,377 six days later on a $15 bet. 

The initial victory of CA$1.6 million set a new record in Ontario.
